PanOptix® Pro Trifocal IOL

The PanOptix® Pro lens offers the latest advancement in Alcon’s trifocal lens technology. Trifocal lenses make it possible for you to read the words on prescription bottles, magazines, newspapers, and computer screens without magnifying glasses or bifocals while still clearly seeing objects at a distance. The PanOptix lens uses very small concentric circles working together to focus light for both near and distance vision. This lens is also offered in a Toric version to correct astigmatism. The trade-off of the trifocal lens has historically been slightly more halos around lights at night and a slight compromise to distance vision in low light. The latest PanOptix Pro lens has improved technology to distribute light better for improved mid-range and distance vision. More light utilization with less light scatter also reduces the likelihood of halos.
